But, we chug along, doing things, while being sad.
We are going to Europe for winter break, to visit friends in Spain, France, and the Netherlands. We told Jaal we would do whatever he wanted and this was one of his top choices (Russia and Madagascar being eliminated).
It will be great to have time together in another location. We are also taking Lev's friend Zay with us. It will be nice to be with him, as I think we share a lot of our grief and our figuring out how to go on with this suffering as a part of our life.
Jaal is doing well in school, loving Evergreen, but also enjoying being home and visiting friends here. He's not very open about his feelings, but he seems to be doing okay.
Our house is on the market, but we have had no people come by to see it yet.
Moving on will be hard, but begin here is hard, too.
I still grapple with how life manages to go on, after the rug was pulled out from under us.
